The answer, apparently, is that it would cost too much to license all the music they used. And they did have excellent music. But I hope this gets resolved because I need that show back in my life.
Of course, I can talk calmly about this now. But when she uttered the word "never," I screeched in a very screechy way. My "no!" was more of a "nnnNOwuh!" Yeah, it got the extra syllable.
So after she recovered from the whole decibel of it all, and gauging my interest level as high, she tells me this is also the reason that "Ally McBeal" can't be licensed for DVD.
My response?
"Oh, BOO HOO."
Clearly, there is just a gaping, "Ally McBeal"-shaped hole in my life.
