In the winter, just about any alcohol I consume is in dark beer, red wine, or Bailey's in coffee form. On Saturday night I went to hang out on the rooftop of Stella's with a friend (along with, apparently, everyone in Minneapolis not Up North and/or at The Cabin for the long weekend--I wouldn't have been surprised if the roof collapsed) and that, pals, called for a gin and tonic with the lime slice wrung out on top. Mmm, refreshing. Summer! (Not refreshing? The sight of a girl wearing a romper. In public. On purpose. From behind. Don't do it, kids.)
Of course, those gin and tonics paved the way for me demolishing some nachos and cheese curds at Liquor Lyle's a few hours later, but that sturdy fare is straight up seasonless.
