I don't know about you, but I love being alone. When I was an au pair one summer in college, I spent a lot of my free time taking myself on solo trips to the movies or out to eat. At first, not having many other people my age to spend time with felt isolating, and then after a few weeks it felt more liberating than anything else. I'd take the train from Connecticut to New York City and walk up and down the island all day. Sometimes I'd drive to my aunt's bed and breakfast in Cooperstown for a weekend. The time alone in the car was some of my favorite time I spent out there. There's just something meditative--and hassle free--about spending time by yourself. Six years later, I am still one of my favorite people to hang out with. Yesterday I stumbled across this video and wanted to share. Maybe you love spending time by yourself, too. Maybe you don't. Either way, it's definitely worth a view or two. Enjoy!
